Cigar Cutter, made from the range finder of a Carabiner
A cigar cutter made in the manner of a range finder from an old German(?) riffle.
This stunning item is made with all details of a real riffle range finder, highest quality craftsmanship you can imagine.
Obviously made by a very talented and inspired gunsmith.
If you push down the range finder, a cutting knife will slide along the inside of the barrel and cut the cigar tip, which is inserted from the side of the item.
On front of the barrel you can see the tip of a bullet, like coming out of the barrel.
Made from solid blued steel, quite heavy (2 kilograms), sits on two posts on a chromium plated base (Note: The cigar cutter has become loose from the two posts of the base, but it is not a great deal to re-fix it. I will just not monkey around with it).
A similar cutter is shown in the Cigar Cutter book by Terranova/Congdon-Martin. The price range given in this book is $900 to $1200.
Very fine condition with slight surface rust.
