Der Korkenzieher ist an dem Kopf der Figur befestigt.

SYROCO Figural Corkscrew: Waiter / Sommelier

This statuette in the shape of a sommelier or wine steward contains a hidden Corkscrew inside his body, it's hiding place is revealed by lifting the head.
The full figure stand on a square base and is painted in full color, with the removable head that the corkscrew is attached to. The item is a fine condition, just showing normal traces from usage and handling.
The bell type Corkscrew is in good condition, but needs a bit cleaning.
The item is from the 1940s to 1950s era.
There was a small range of full figure corkscrews made by Syroco: the man with top hat, waiter, Indian, monk, clown, and knight.
The item is made from so called Syroco Wood, manufactured by SYRACUSE ORNAMENTAL CO., INC. - SYRACUSE, N.Y., but there is not label any more.
